Yorba Linda Halloween Decorating Contest Deadline Is October 26: Free Entry and Interactive Display Map

Local residents interested in joining Yorba Linda’s 2026 Halloween Decorating Contest have a short deadline: the city says applications and photographs are due Monday, October 26. The event is free for eligible Yorba Linda residents, according to the official contest page.

What entries are eligible?

The municipality says displays must be within Yorba Linda city limits and visible from the street at night. Each entry requires a photograph and an online application. The city’s form permits up to four image files, including a requested wide-angle view of the display, with instructions for allowed file formats and size. Three award categories

The city plans to choose one winner in each of three categories: Most Festive Theme, Best Lights and Creative Effects, and Spirit of Halloween Award. It says entrants may appear on an interactive Halloween Decoration Map so neighbors can discover displays throughout town. A submission does not guarantee an award, and California58 does not independently verify that every map listing is already visible.
